Investors were primarily focused on the Central Bank of Brazil’s Monetary Policy Report. Additionally, the lower-than-expected U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) reading strengthened the belief that the Federal Reserve will continue to reduce interest rates in the coming year. According to the report, Brazilian policymakers raised their economic growth forecast for 2025 to 2.3%, up from a previous estimate of 2.0%, and adjusted their 2026 forecast to 1.6%, from 1.5%. Among individual stocks, Vale saw a 0.7% increase, and Petrobras rose by 0.4% as oil prices climbed. Embraer's shares gained 0.1% following the signing of an agreement for a potential aircraft assembly line in Portugal. Conversely, Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras experienced a decline of 1.5%.
